Do You Know About These Body Building Supplements?
Today there are many body building supplements available on the market. A body builder or a health enthusiast can be spoiled with choice and may not know which one is the best for him. We are going to look at some of the lesser known body building supplmements to give you a better understanding of them and what they can do for you to accomplish your goals as a body builder.
CLA
Conjugated linoleic acid is an unsaturated fatty acid which is found in cheese, milk and meat. It releases fat from fat cells or it blocks new fat from getting in. It is branded as a fat loss supplement. Studies show that CLA works by preventing fat cells from increasingi in size. It works by inhibiting fat-cell filling. As a result, it may be more useful for preventing fat gain than resulting in loss of ftat.
Energy gels
It has been proven that energy gels delay fatigue and increase endurance. They provide an easy way of consuming carbohydrates during intense physical and endurance exercise. Although energy gels increase endurance and slow down fatigue, you will still need water; they are not designed to replace the need for water. The risk of dehydration will be increased if you don’t drink about 350ml of water for every 25g of gel.
HMB
HMB (Beta-hydroxy beta-methylbutyrate) is associated with cellular repair. It is made in the body from BCAAs. It is reported to increase strength and muscle mass while reducing muscle damage after resistance exercise. HMB can also be found in grapefruit.
Glutamine
Glutamine is a non-essential amino acid. It is essential for cell growth and it aids the immune system. The levels of Glutamine in the body drops significantly during stressful times or intense physical activity. It is reported that glutamine supplements can reduce your risk of infection; however there is less evidence that it actually improves performance.
MRPs
Meal replacement products are touted to provide a quality meal without the need of cooking. Some contain 30-40g of protein, vitamins minerals and good carbohydrate sources such as maltodextrin, barley or oats.Nonetheless, in my opinion, nothing can take the place of a good home cooked dish if you have the time.
Nitiric Oxide
Nitric oxide, a gas, is responsible for increasing blood flow to the nuscles, thereby delivering mutrients and oxygen hence resulting in muscle growth and recovery. L-arginine, a non-essential amino acid, is the active ingredient in nitric oxide.
Taurine
Taurine is produced naturally in hte body; it is a non-essential amino acid.It can be found in creatine and protein products, but it is also found in meat, eggs, fish and milk.It is also an ingredient in many energy drinks which claim to provide you with more energy which is debatable.

Testtosterone boosters increase testosterone levels in the body and produce muscle -building effects to anabolic steroids without side effects.
